Phlebotomy Ink Admissions Process
Admissions Requirements
To be eligible for admission to any of Phlebotomy Ink’s programs a prospective student must meet the following requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age. If 17 years of age, requires a parental signature.

Be a current resident of Alabama. Government-issued identification or documentation supporting residency in Alabama is required.

Possess a High School Diploma or the equivalent.

Be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Meet the program physical requirements
Prior to starting any clinical externship (MA, NA, PCT, PbT), students must:

Successfully pass a background check

Successfully pass a drug test

Provide current up to date record of shots and vaccines, including TB test screen

Obtain a malpractice insurance policy through HSPO. Phlebotomy Ink will provide further information to students as they approach the externship portion of their program.
Note: Students must notify the institution if they plan to relocate out of state. Phlebotomy Ink is only approved to operate in the state of Alabama. Relocating out of state may adversely impact a student’s ability to complete their program. Students must submit the Change of Address Form to the campus prior to relocation.

All prospective students can start the admissions process via the online Phlebotomy Ink portal. After creating a login, returning applicants may continue to update their application and upload documents via the "student login" link at the top of this page.

Accepted applicants may enroll in a program up to the week before class begin between 9:00am-2:00pm at the location you will attend.

All students are required to attend a mandatory orientation Friday at 12:00pm CT prior to the start of their class schedule via Zoom (online video webinar).

PLEASE NOTE, all Phlebotomy Ink students are required to wear BLACK SCRUBS ONLY to all classes and clinicals.

WIOA (Alabama's Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act) is a program located at your nearest Career Center that will fund students for:​

Medical Billing and Coding-Hybrid

Electronic Health Record Specialist-Hybrid
